Our Program

WRSS uses the Suzuki approach for instructing our students. It is often called the “mother-tongue” approach because the children learn music in the same way they learn to speak their native language. Originating in Japan by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, the Suzuki approach has since been adapted for use in the study of various instruments as a natural way of learning music.

While we believe that group classes, traditionally part of the approach, are a powerful tool for motivation and an integral part of the Suzuki method, we understand that the group class format doesn't fit all schedules and needs. Therefore, we offer two types of registration: Basic and Full

Program Option 1: Basic Registration

The Basic program registration includes, two performance classes, two recital rehearsals and two formal recitals annually. It allows families the most flexibility and affordability while still giving them access to expert Suzuki-based instruction and formal recital opportunities. Basic registration fee is $186.

Program Option 2: Full Registration

The Full program registration includes everything that the basic registration offers, but adds some of those important Suzuki Method inclusions like group class, public performance, ensemble practice and additional reinforcement of theory and note reading skills learned in lessons. Full Registration fee is $410

Full registrants benefit from:
